Two disciplines. Seven modules in detail.
devonso bundled the technical side of customizations (Customization Analysis) and the regulatory side of access and evidence (Compliance Analysis) in a single platform — both on the same data store, kept independently of Dynamics 365. This page describes all seven modules in detail; the home page gives a quick overview.
The technical side: every customization examined
Instant Analysis, Deep Analysis, and Development Tracking together formed Customization Analysis: searching the current state of an environment, tracing its development over time, and monitoring ongoing changes — covering code and no-code customizations alike.
Instant Analysis
Enabled fast, direct analysis of customizations in the current state of a Dynamics 365 or Power Platform environment — with immediate insight into the configuration and its dependencies.
Deep Analysis
Offered advanced analysis of historical data and deeper information about system customizations — revealing long-term trends and effects that weren’t visible from the current state alone.
Development Tracking
Supported continuous monitoring and management of development changes over time: automated snapshot jobs, comparison of different states, and notifications on critical changes kept the development environment consistent and controlled.
The regulatory side: access and evidence, fully documented
Audit, Security, Security Audit, and User Profiling formed Compliance Analysis: audit logs, security configurations, role changes, and user profiles in one place — stored independently of Dynamics 365, so evidence survived changes made in the source system.
Audit
Offered configurable tools for monitoring and analyzing audit logs — stored tamper-resistantly outside Dynamics 365, so they remained available even after accidental or deliberate deletion in the source system.
Security
Supported managing and monitoring security configurations at the table and principal level — for centralized, traceable access control across the whole environment.
Security Audit
Extended monitoring specifically to changes in security roles and their assignment — with its own audit logs tracing who gained or lost which permission, and when.
User Profiling
Defined and managed user profiles centrally across security roles, teams, business units, and field security profiles — instead of manual upkeep per user account.
Modules in practice
28 documented use cases show how the seven modules were applied in system administration, software development, controlling, and compliance — and how the modules used to be licensed.
